For homeowners

Understand the house before you fund the repair.

You do not need the technical name for what you are seeing. You need to know whether this is a repair, a different problem, or a reason to measure before you spend.

The decision

Spend, wait, or look at something else.

The decision in front of you is usually a large one: underpinning, drainage, a plumber, an engineer, or more time. Those are not interchangeable, and the person selling one of them is not the best source of the comparison.

How we help

The house, read as a whole.

The whole property, not one photograph

Cracks, floors, doors, gaps and external concrete are read together, with how the house was built and what has already been repaired.

A plain answer on the next step

If the evidence supports major work, we say so and name the qualified professional who should lead it. If it does not, we say that too.

No product waiting at the end of the visit

GMA does not sell underpinning or ground treatment. The advice is not a path into a system we need you to buy.

Monitoring

Where a daily record helps this decision.

Where the open question is whether the house is still moving, devices stay on site and record it each day. That is often a better spend than committing to major works because one visit could not tell you.

What we will not do

We do not design remedial works, certify the structure, or tell you what an insurer must pay. If those judgements are required, we help you involve the people who can make them.
